WORK EXPERIENCE:

He is currently professor of the Department of Physical Education and Sports in the College of Sciences of Physical Activities and Sports Sciences at the University of the Basque Country (UPV / EHU) where he teaches undergraduate and graduate students in these subjects: Theory and practice of motor games sports, Games and Physical education teaching skills, Sport and traditional Basque games anthropology. Along with teaching at the UPV / EHU, he is a member of the French National research group "Jeux et ludiques practice" du CEMEA for the development of an active education.

He was Dean the years 1989-93 and vice dean 2004-2008. It has accreditation to practice linguistic university teaching in English, Basque and French.

Currently he is a member of the research team "Research Group of Sporting Games recognized by the AGAUR, with the project entitled" Sports games and Emotions ". He has been director of the Project “Gender perspective and emotions in cooperation-opposition sports games (I + D + i of the Government of Spain. Ministry of Science and Innovation). He collaborated on a project funded by the Japanese Government on "synthetic Research on Policy of Sports Culture in Araba, Guipúzcoa, Vizcaya, Navarra and Iparralde". In 2011-12 he received a scholarship from the University of Nevada-Reno

His research addresses the link between sports games and culture (Basque Country, USA, Japan and Algeria), the gender perspective in sports, games and dances, and emotions in sports games.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Professor at the University of Murcia. Since the completion of his degree in physical education, he has been developing his entire professional life in the university context . In 1999 he began his university teaching at the Faculty Physical Activity and Sports Sciences of the Catholic University San Antonio of Murcia, where he finished his doctorate degree with the highest rating in 2004. His research focuses on aspects of teaching physical education at school through traditional games. In 2009 he joined the Faculty of Education at the University of Murcia, where he continues developing different teaching and research work in sports game. At this moment he is the director of Plastic Expression, Musical and Dinàmic of University of Murcia.
